Zen Rescue Cat Looking for Zen Golden Years Home Ready to Retire

A cat named Zen is looking for a Zen future in a Zen home with a Zen vibe that’s helmed by a Zen human…that’s a lot of Zen! Maybe we’d better explain. Zen is a senior kitty who would love nothing more than to find a quiet, safe space to spend the remainder of his golden years in. He’s 16, and he knows what he likes and doesn’t like at this point. One of the things he does like is a warm lap or tummy to curl up on and take a relaxing nap.

Shelter Life vs. Foster Care

While Zen is fortunate enough to be waiting for just such a place in a comfortable foster home, it would be great if he could acclimate to a forever situation before too much more time has passed. A neutered seal point Siamese, he enjoys snuggling, playing with toys, and hanging out with other cats. That’s because he makes friends easily. Zen also digs curling up after breakfast in his favorite window seat, so it would be great if you have one he could hang in at your place.

There’s nothing better than whiling away the hours watching the world go by from a great vantage point when you’re a cat!

Siamese Cats

The distinctive breed is known for its dazzling blue eyes and almost guttural vocalizations. Stemming from the Wichianmat landrace — one of several varieties of felines native to Thailand (previously known as Siam) — the original Siamese became one of the most popular breeds in Europe and North America in the 19th century. They remained extremely popular through the mid-20th century and still hold a place in the hearts of cat fanciers today.

Zen Life

Zen weighs only 7.22 pounds and arrived at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, Arizona, on September 14, 2022. While that’s not terribly long in terms of shelter wait times, it’s too long for a senior pet to be waiting for permanent stability. If you’re interested in learning more about this sweet, handsome boy, please email PACC.AdoptAFoster@pima.gov. with your questions, and be sure to include his ID# of A247129.
