Stray Dog Shot In Both Legs Gets Treated To A Night Out

You never quite know what you are going to find when you work for a dog rescue. Nobody knows this better than Stray Rescue of St. Louis, especially after receiving a female dog that was sent in for emergency surgery.

That dog, who the rescue named Princess Rosie, had been shot in her front legs and her face had been grazed by a bullet. The rescue shared on Facebook that one of her legs had a small fracture but the other had three broken bones. The legs were also infected.

The surgery went well and Princess Rosie was soon up and walking, thanks to some casts. They also discovered that she was full of milk, but they had to go looking for her puppies. Unfortunately, all the puppies were sold and they just hope that they were old enough to be without their mom.

After being around Princess Rosie for a few weeks, the Stray Rescue of St. Louis said on Facebook that she was the “sweetest girl to walk this earth.” She loved playing with a toy watermelon and when she was sedated so her bandages could be changed, she even fell asleep with the plushy in her mouth.

It wasn’t long before they started to look for a caregiver that could foster her. They wanted Princess Rosie to have a relaxing and cuddly place to heal.

Foster caregivers have been few and far between and this rescue, based out of Missouri, is still looking for one to foster Princess Rosie.

Rather than just sitting back and waiting for the right person to show up, they decided to take her out for a night on the town and to showcase just how sweet she was.

They went to the Angad Arts Hotel and they couldn’t believe how excited she was. They shared some pictures of her stay and thanked the hotel for the opportunity.

The rescue said: “She’s looking for a foster home where she can rest as peacefully as she did last night.”

We hope she finds the best foster home in the world.
