A mischievous boy convinced his dad to bring home a puppy and he did it by cleverly impersonating his mom.
43-year-old Kevyn Ley and 40-year-old Janine of Newport, South Wales were contemplating getting a second dog to be a friend for their cocker spaniel named Jet.
When a friend offered them an 8-month-old puppy, Kevyn was excited and ready to bring it home, but Janine wasn’t so sure.
According to the New York Post, Janine said: “[Kevyn] took me aback when he said, ‘We’ve been offered a puppy.’ I was like, ‘What? Are you kidding me? We only talked about it.’ He said she was ready now if we wanted her. I said I needed to think about it.”
The couple’s son, Noah, was eager to welcome a new puppy into the home and he decided to take matters into his own hands.
While Janine wasn’t paying attention, the mischievous boy took her phone and wrote his father while pretending to be his mother. According to The Mirror, he texted Kevyn: “All of [the kids] want oneXx. Kev just get one the kids are crying.”
His father replied: “He will trial run it it will be coming today.”
While some kids would’ve been satisfied by that, Noah pressed it further. He texted back: “Please. Xxxx. When is it coming..Is it coming today.”
The conversation continued, with Noah pressing for Kevyn to bring a puppy home. It took Janine hours to realize what her son had done, and by that point, the puppy had already been confirmed.
According to The Mirror, Noah’s parents were impressed by his antics. While Janine wasn’t quite ready to bring a new puppy home, the family is excited to have their new dog, Lulu.Whizzco
