Young Rescue Kitty Genya Has Had a Rough Start to Life but You Can Make it Better
Meet rescue kitty Genya, your new best friend! This beautiful, petite girl came to the Southern Arizona Cat Rescue from a not-so-ideal life outside. She lost all of her babies and had an injured eye that was likely bothering her for quite a while before losing it. That being said, 1-year-old Genya is very shy but sweet!
In foster care, she has gradually learned that humans actually are great and so is indoor life. Chin rubs and rubs at the base of her tail are her favorite forms of physical attention ’cause they feel soooo good! So far, she still prefers to hide during the day but comes out to play like a crazy kitten at night!
Indoor Cats
She now knows what toys are and likes the ones she can toss in the air and throw around herself the best. It’s taken her a while to adjust to being cared for but she’ll make someone a wonderful house kitty. Speaking of which…
Genya’s ideal forever home would be a quiet place where she can get to know her people slowly and they give her the patience and room she’ll initially need. Her major love of wet food and churu treats can definitely help gain her trust. Slow and steady will build the most beautiful bond with this girl.
Dogs & Cats
She has been around respectful dogs, but she does not do well with a dog that has a lot of energy. She likes other cats, but is definitely submissive. She would do great with a friendly cat who likes kitty friends. She hasn’t been around kids, but she really isn’t a fan of loud noises, so they would probably have to be older, respectful children.
Adopting Rescue Cats
Genya is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She’s also house-trained and has no special needs.
