Rescue Pigeon Loves Playing Fetch Like A Dog

Meet Evelyn, the rescue pigeon that loves playing fetch, just like a dog!

Morgan rescued Evelyn from Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue and was surprised to learn more about the bird’s personality quirks and favorite pastimes.

In an interview with GeoBeats Animals, Morgan explained that Evelyn was found in someone’s yard as an adult, but he didn’t seem wild. He didn’t like the outdoors and rescuers suspect he escaped from a breeder.

Morgan shared that Evelyn is actually terrified of the outdoors and gets afraid just from looking out the window!

While he may not be that confident with the great outdoors, Evelyn totally rules the roost in his home.

Evelyn shares her home with Morgan and two cats, and while you might think that a bird and cats wouldn’t be the best of housemates, they all get along just great. Ironically, the cats are afraid of the friendly bird so they leave him alone and avoid his space entirely.

As for Evelyn, he loves finding cozy places to make a “nest” and also loves playing fetch! Morgan will throw little items for him, like hair ties, and he’ll fly off and retrieve them. How cute!
