Petco Announces Release of “More & Merrier” Holiday Collection for Dogs and Cats
It may not be Halloween yet, but Petco just announced their Holiday Collection for shoppers everywhere. The collection includes items for dogs and cats centering on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s Eve. Unveiling its new “More & Merrier” collection this week, the pet merchandizer is featuring over 500 items dog and cat owners and pet lovers everywhere will be down with. Among the goodies available are holiday-themed toys, festive pet apparel, fun home décor pieces, and treats for animals of all shapes and sizes.
Tis the Season for Pet Supplies
Petco stated in its announcement that, “With most items priced under $19.99, pet parents can find the best value for everything on their pets’ wish list.” For Turkey Day, the store has stocked canned Thanksgiving dinners for felines and doggos, drumstick chew toys, a super cute turkey headpiece for your dog, a feline-friendly mini drink set, and lots of treats made with the usual holiday staples like sweet potato, pumpkin, and cranberry. All of these ingredients are dog friendly, so there’s no worry about stomach upset — unless they eat too much. Pumpkin is, however, frequently recommended for upset tummies in dogs.

For those observing Hanukkah, shoppers can find blue festival-themed coats and bandanas, a plushie menorah for playful pups, a dreidel toy for minxy kittens, and even plushies in the shapes of kosher pickles, gelt, and moose.

Season of Giving Campaign
The chain is also launching its “Season of Giving” campaign which allows customers to donate money to help animals in need through Petco Love – the company’s pet welfare nonprofit. “Having our pets by our side as we celebrate the holidays is part of what makes this time of year so magical,” said Amy College, the chief merchandising officer at Petco.
Outside the holiday season, Petco’s added new winter gear that includes insanely cute pet puffer coats, an assortment of booties and socks, and other fun items. The best part is you don’t have to go into a brick-and-mortar location to get in on the promotions, as Petco has stocked its virtual shelves with the same sweet deals. It’s also worth mentioning that throughout the holiday season Petco will be offering savings through its monthly Vital Care membership, where customers are able to earn Pals Rewards on various purchases, including grooming appointments, training sessions, and vaccinations.
