Rescue Donkey Surprises Human By “Singing” Hello Every Morning
When it comes to serenades, I think that it really is a lost art form. There are some of us that still enjoy singing for a significant other or perhaps entertaining family and friends, but it is not often done by everyone.
Every once in a while, however, we hear about somebody that loves to sing and they may be able to do so in a beautiful way.
Although they may not be ready for prime time, they certainly have a gift and they don’t mind sharing it.
It seems that that is the case with a 28-year-old donkey that lives in Conroe, Texas. According to the Houston Chronicle, when Monte sees his human, Pinky Ruggles, he can’t help but sing for her. In fact, he serenades her in a most beautiful voice that is unmistakably baritone.
The beautiful thing about this is the fact that Monte was adopted by Ruggles in 2020 from Texas Miracle Ranch.
At the time, he was already an older donkey but it seemed as if they loved each other the first time they saw each other.

That didn’t mean that it was always going to be easy. At first, Monte had a shy streak but he loved his human so much that he couldn’t help but begin singing for her.
It all started on the third day while he was there when Pinky went to get him some feed. Suddenly, she looked over at him and he started to bray. It’s almost as if he surprised himself with his own voice!

Monte wears a mask in some of the videos, but don’t worry, he is fine. He can see perfectly through it, it’s just to keep insects from getting in his eyes.
Hearing this beautiful donkey serenade his human is a wonderful thing. We should all be so lucky to have a donkey that wants to sing to us!
