Wild Lorikeet Birds Visit Couple Every Day Hoping For A Snack

An Australian couple welcomes an unusual group of house guests over every day: a flock of wild lorikeet birds.

21-year-old Georgina Brough and Christian Allen first met the flock of birds in early 2021.

According to SWNS, the birds broke into the couple’s apartment in hopes of scoring some lunch, finding their way through an open balcony door.

Since then, the lorikeets have returned daily to visit and bum some snacks whenever possible.

While some people might not be keen to have intruders over every day, Brough and Allen have come to love their visits with the lorikeets – as messy and loud as they might be.

According to the Denver Zoo, lorikeets live in “noisy flocks” that can range in size from several pairs to hundreds of pairs (depending on how much food is available).

They’re active and loud, and they tend to screech as they fly around and eat.

While Brough and Allen don’t have hundreds of lorikeets on their hands, they have enough to keep them busy! The birds are loud and rambunctious, but Brough and Allen wouldn’t want it any other way.
