Good Fix Team Spay/Neuters Over 1,000 Stray Cats In Oklahoma

An estimated 3.2 million cats enter U.S. shelters every year and countless more roam the streets.

The best way to control homeless cat populations is to spay and neuter. Greater Good Charities’ Good Fix team headed to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to help spay and neuter hundreds of stray cats.

During the 4-day “Snip, Tip… HOORAY!” clinic, the team sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped a total of 1,021 free roaming cats. This will result in a drastic reduction to the stray cat population in the area and reduce the number of felines entering local shelters.

The clinic was a success thanks to countless volunteers, the expert Good Fix team, T-Town TNR, and your continued support. Volunteers (both cat and dog people) and the highly trained team helped trap, fix, and return the cats to their communities.

Another volunteer, Devon Retherford, said, “Thanks for sending Good Fix to Tulsa. Your team has been beyond amazing! 3 days of volunteering with them has been an awesome experience. We really appreciate the help to spay/neuter, hopefully 1,000 cats. Nothing but pure awe for what you guys do!”

The Animal Rescue Site supports Good Fix and their goal to reduce pet overpopulation through free spay/neuter clinics. To date, Good Fix has safely sterilized more than 56,000 dogs and cats! The specially trained team heads to underfunded areas to help sterilize pets and stray animals to save lives and reduce the number of pets entering shelters.

“Spaying and neutering benefits everyone, from the pets themselves to the people who own them, to entire communities! With every pet that #GoodFix spays or neuters, we #AmplifyTheGood to create a healthier society,” states GGC.

These vital clinics are possible due in part to your generous donations, so thank you! Continue to help fund these clinics and join us in saving lives.

It costs just $20 to sterilize a cat or dog, preventing hundreds of unwanted kittens or puppies.
