Woman Is Shocked With How Much This Food Hack Is Changing Her Life – And Her Strawberries

Fruits are a great source of vitamins, but they’re also great at being expensive.

For example, strawberries can cost up to $20 for about 55 pieces in some places!

They’re worth it, don’t get me wrong! But strawberries are quick to spoil. If you buy a pack and aren’t able to finish it, you’ve wasted your money.

In most cases, fresh whole strawberries only last in the fridge for 5-7 days; sometimes it takes less than that if they’re not stored properly or are already cut.

You have to be quite selective whenever you buy and store your strawberries as well. The first step is to make sure you don’t buy any pack that has crushed strawberries in it. The next step would be to immediately discard any soft, overripe, or bruised strawberries once you get home.

Mold is also a huge issue with fruits, but with this storing hack, you won’t need to trouble yourself with any of these issues anymore.

We’ve been told that freezing strawberries is the way to go if you want to lengthen their shelf life. But with just a glass jar, you’ll be able to save your fruits and keep them fresh for way more than a week!

Anyone can relate to the frustration this TikToker experienced when she shared the hack she just discovered. So much wasted food! And don’t even get me started with thinking about the money we all could’ve saved if only we knew about the hack much earlier.

“Who was going to tell me that if you store strawberries in jars, you don’t have to sacrifice half of them to the strawberry gods?”

I told you she was relatable!

“I wasted so many strawberries because nobody told me, and that is absolutely ridiculous! I had to rely on an incredible person, a random person on TikTok – thank you. Don’t remember who it was, but you’ve changed my life,” the TikToker continued.

Strawberries stored in jars last for two weeks in the fridge, friends.
