Big Brother Dog Helps Tiny Corgi Pup Up The Stairs

For those of us with big brothers, we know that they can be a pain in the rear most of the time. But at the same time, no one will look out for you quite like your big brother.

I’m an only child so I’ve never had a big brother per se, but I’ve got a guy friend that I would classify as my big bro as he’s always been there for me no matter what. Plus, we’ve shared some very funny stories over the years.

But it’s not just humans who have strong familial bonds. Our pets are just as capable of forging strong bonds with one another – even if they’re not from the same litter.

That sibling energy is just as real amongst our pets as they are amongst humans. For one little short-legged Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, his big brother’s helping nudge was greatly needed the day he took on the stairs.

For all puppies who live in a two-story home, there comes a day when they have to go through the initiation of the stairs. They can be rather daunting for a small pup – especially if that pup happens to have really short legs.

For Butterball the Welsh Corgi, the stairs were extra daunting as he’s extra short. For a moment it looked like he wasn’t going to make it all the way up the stairs.

But then his big brother stepped in. The pooch, Oreo, gave him the push he needed – literally. He just get nudging the pup up the stairs, and Butterball eventually made it!

What do you think of big brother Oreo’s actions in coming to Butterball’s rescue? Do your pets support one another? Let us know!
