Cat Joins Dog Duo For Their Daily Walks Around The Neighborhood

One of the joys of having a dog is taking them for daily walks. It’s a nice way to get outside and enjoy the fresh air while bonding with your pet.

A woman named Hilarie regularly enjoys walks with her two dogs, Emmy and Gunny, but she ended up having a third pet join in on their daily walks: a cat named Oliver!

In an interview with The Dodo, Hilarie said that Oliver just started to walk with them one day and never stopped! She said, “I never know where he comes from, but he always finds us.”

At first, Hilarie didn’t know anything about the grey and white cat that joined their walks. After chatting with some neighbors though, she learned that the cat’s name was Oliver.

While the cat regularly joined the duo of dogs for their daily walks, he took things a step further one day by following them all the way home.

Hilarie shared with The Dodo, “One day, Oliver started spending a lot of time by our front door. He started coming in the house.”

The cat may’ve had another family, but it’s clear that he chose Hilarie and the two pups. They ended up installing a cat door so Oliver could come and go as he pleased, and he’s often found inside the home or hanging out in the yard with Emmy and Gunny.

Their relationship is really something special. They say you don’t choose your cat, your cat chooses you and it seems that couldn’t be more true.
