Owner Uses Cat’s Fur To Make Tiny Teddy Bear

If you’ve ever had a cat before, you know that they tend to shed. Cat fur can end up all over if you’re not careful!

It’s one part of cat ownership that most pet parents aren’t thrilled about, but one cat mom is using her cat’s shedding to her advantage!

Kisa is a Scottish Fold cat that lives with her sister, Sonya, and their mom.

According to Purina, Scottish Fold cats tend to shed a lot.

The cat food brand explained, “Scottish Folds shed year-round, with heavier shedding periods during the spring and fall. Comb shorthaired Folds weekly to remove loose hair. Longhaired Folds may require grooming several times a week.”

Kisa’s owner used a special brush called a FURminator, along with a little vacuum, to collect her fur and brush her out, but she didn’t just discard the fur like most cat parents would do. Instead, she used a felting needle and turned the fur into a tiny stuffed teddy bear!

The teddy bear was then gifted to Kisa, but it didn’t last long. The feisty cat ended up tearing the bear apart in a short amount of time.

No matter though, that’s to be expected of cat toys.

After Kisa destroyed her teddy bear, her owner was more than happy to make her a second toy.

This time, Mom used Kisa’s fur to create a miniature cat figurine for Kisa to play with. How cute!
