One of the first things that many of us do when we have a dog’s teach him or her how to walk on a leash.
It’s an important part of being a dog because it gives us an opportunity to take them places that would otherwise be off-limits.
Most people are understanding of this reality, but they may not realize that it is also possible to teach a cat how to walk on a leash. Not only does it keep the cat safe, but it is also a good idea for both the feline and the human.
Just as walking on a leash opens up opportunities for a dog, it can open up opportunities for a cat as well. Nobody knows this better than Lindsey, who travels the United States with her beautiful black cat, Aries.
Since Aries is trained to be on a leash, she is safe as they visit various parks and camps all across America. In fact, this feline absolutely loves being outdoors, regardless of whether they are hiking or simply sitting around the campfire. Lindsey shares about their adventures on Instagram and the cat has become quite popular.
Lindsey found Aries when the feline was only a little kitten. She was in Texas walking through a wooded park when Aries showed up and the rest is history. It wasn’t long after she brought the cat home that he was comfortable.
Lindsey wanted to teach the cat how to walk on a leash before she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and lived in an apartment.
She knew that she wanted to be outdoors with her feline friend, and she wanted to keep her safe as well. Fortunately, Aries learned how to do it in no time at all.
She calls her feline friend an “advocate for exploring the great outdoors” and I couldn’t imagine a better fit for a human. The two of them seem to have a lot of fun together, and they do so both responsibly and safely.
