57 Dogs, Some Suffering From Heartworm Disease, Land In New Jersey To Find Forever Homes

In the early morning hours of April 17, over 50 dogs were loaded onto a Flight to Freedom in Louisiana and began their journey to New Jersey.

A total of 57 dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds arrived in New Jersey and were greeted by shelter staff and volunteers.

With tails wagging and barks of excitement, the dogs were loaded into vans and transported back to the shelters. Their new lives are about to begin, and they want to thank you for your help in flying them to freedom.

Some of the lucky passengers were heartworm-positive dogs, like 3-year-old Bonnie, who were at risk of euthanasia. Bonnie has already started treatment and will continue her treatment in her new home.

All the dogs on this flight will soon find a loving home.
